How To Be Saved From Sin, and Spend Eternity With God In Heaven
If you were to die today, why should God let you into heaven?
Jesus said, not everyone will enter into the kingdom of heaven, will you?
Matt 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven;
THE PROBLEM IS…
People assume they are going to heaven for various reasons: I’m a good person, I am religious, I go to church, I am baptized, I confess my sin, pray, read the bible, I’ve never done anything that bad. While these are all good, they will never earn you a place in heaven. The Bible calls these works of righteousness, and no matter how good, and how extensive your works of righteousness are, they can never make you worthy of heaven – you will come up short every time!
Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Eph 2:8,9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us.
THE TRUTH IS…
Every single sin, even a lie, condemns us to eternity in the lake of fire (hell). This is a very harsh statement – but true!
Rev 21:8 …and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Eze 18:4 Behold, all souls are mine; …the soul that sinneth, it shall die.
Conclusion: Since every single person has sinned, every single person deserves to spend eternity in the lake of fire – eternal punishment, and so every single person must be “saved.”
AND THAT IS WHY JESUS CAME!
Jesus, God in the flesh, came to this earth to save us from our sins.
Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
BEING SAVED IS…
Jesus saving us from our sins, and from eternal punishment in hell.
Mt 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
Being saved is not being baptized, or taking communion. It is not God sparing you from a physical death, or problem. God calls it a gift of salvation.
Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
He gives us a gift that contains: a pardon from hell, forgiveness from all our sins, eternal life in heaven, righteousness from Jesus, the right to be called a child of God, and much more. God’s gift is received one way – like all gifts, they are accepted, received. For the one who is ready to turn away from their sins and believe that Jesus is their Savior and only way of forgiveness, God promises to give them His salvation. Jesus Christ was virgin born, lived a sinless life, bled and died upon a cross for our sins, rose from the grave after three days, and is now waiting with the Father for his return.
John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
THE DECISION IS…
Will you let go of all other ways you are trusting in to get you into heaven and believe in who Jesus is and what He did as your only way of Salvation?
Jesus said in John 14:6 … I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (Meaning – He is the one and only way.)
Acts 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.
Not everyone will enter into heaven, will you? There is only one way, God’s way!
Right now, give your heart and life to Jesus Christ, accept him as your one and only Saviour! Ask Him for his forgiveness of sin that comes from shedding his blood on the cross and His resurrection from the dead.
